I have always loved being active!
When I was little I played a lot of sport for school teams including tennis, hockey, netball and swimming and was awarded sports scholarships to schools in Sussex where I was educated.
My favourite sport by far was swimming, I'm for sure in a former life I was a creature of the water! I swam for Sussex and in National schools competitions, I loved the feeling of complete submersion in the water, feeling strong and fast in a non weight bearing sport.
My yoga journey began after university: After a lot of encouragement from my partner at the time who was already a keen yogi, I finally went along to a class on my day off and fell in love with yoga pretty much straight away!
I completely loved the feeling of flowing on the mat with creativity but also structure and control. I soon realised the importance and feel good sensation of being in correct alignment in poses while being on the mat but also the freedom to move in ways I had never before.
I practiced yoga 2-3 times a week for a couple of years, and in 2018 I wanted a career change! In September of that year I completed a month intense yoga teacher training course in a small seaside town between Murcia and Alicante, Spain. I hold a 200 hour yoga alliance certificate to teach vinyasa yoga.
